WISH

Wish is a 3D animation project presented in the form of a pop-up book, where each unfolding page reveals a different cultural expression of human wishes.
The work transforms the tactile charm of paper engineering into a vibrant, magical digital experience, blending tradition, mythology, and imagination.

Opening each book transports viewers into a new cultural scene:
• Chinese sky lanterns rising into the night as symbols of hope and blessing
• The enchanting world of Aladdin, with the magic lamp representing wish-making in Middle Eastern folklore
• The iconic Roman fountain where people toss coins to express their dreams
• Four-leaf clovers, birthday candles, and other familiar symbols of luck and desire

The animation celebrates how different cultures imagine, ritualize, and cherish the act of wishing.
Through vivid visuals and whimsical transitions, Wish invites viewers to rediscover the universal, childlike belief that a wish can open another world.
